Job Description
OneByte is looking for a DevOps Engineer for their Lahore and Islamabad office.
*Duties & Responsibilities:*
– Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
– Work collaboratively with software engineersto define infrastructure and deployment requirements
– Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
– Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
– Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
– Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
– Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
– Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
*Qualifications:*
– At least 1-3 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, SSM, IAM, ECS, EKS, DevTools, S3, RDS, Kinesis, AWS ElasticSearch, ApiGateway)
– Minimum 1 year of experience in a python development role, ideally focused on long-running services/processes/daemons.
– Familiarity with developing and testing production code in a serverless environment – AWS Lambda and/or Azure Functions
– Experience with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, ELK and deploying applications on AWS or Azure
– Use of python cloud SDKs: boto3 for AWS API calls; azure-sdk-for-python for Azure API calls
– Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform
– Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
– Hands on exprience with AWS Security Services such as AWS Config, GuardDuty, AWS Inspector, and AWS WAF
– Familiarity with common web services, technologies, architectures and related practices to make them reliable
